Women’s Drawn Handicap Pairs
At last we managed to play the semi’s and final of the Women’s Drawn Handicap Pairs on Tuesday 20 February, a month after the qualifying rounds.

The delay was caused by the weather gods not co-operating in January.

The qualifiers were Marg. Elsby/Theresa Rogers v. Jo Baxter/Colleen Rice and Jan Gledhill/Jeanette Orgias v. Anne Hellier/Judy Cowie.  
Both games were very close, Jo and Colleen beating Marg. and Theresa by 2 points, and Anne/Judy beating Jan/Jeanette by 1 point after an extra end.   

The final game was not quite as close on the scoreboard but still a very good game with Jo and Colleen the eventual winners.

This is the third year in a row that Colleen will get her name on the cup, each time with a different partner.   
Sorry Colleen, you can’t keep it!
