The Mairangi Bay Bowling Club Women’s Champ Triples was played on Saturday the 10th of December.

Since we were only 4 teams, it was played as a Round Robin.

The teams were:

Julie Chhour, Muy Cchour and Annie McGrath

Sheryl Wellington, Jan Gledhill and Colleen Rice

Gaye Horne, Joy Watkinson and Theresa Rogers

Gerd Hutcheson, Rachel Long and Glenda Rountree

The weather forecast was not good, but we got lucky, sort of, with both sunshine and a few showers.

As it happened, 2 teams had 2 losses, so the 3rd round became the final. It was played between Gaye’s team, being defending champions, and Sheryl’s team.  Gaye and co. started off really well, but eventually Sheryl and co. caught up and went on to win with 26 – 12.
