The weather forecast was for a cloudy morning and a hot, clear afternoon. The clouds did not roll back until mid-afternoon, at which point it became very hot. Prior to that a cool wind had kept things relatively cool for the 25 teams competing.
Before play began the players voted to play 2-4-2 rather than 3 bowl pairs and there was a bye.
The size of the field dictated that there was no Daily Prize as the draw called for prizes to the first five teams. There were two four winners, 12 three winners and 4 no winners (who remain anonymous).
First with 4 wins were Leon Wech and Bevyn Darlington.
Second, also with 4 wins were Evan Thomas and Ian Hardy.
Third were the best 3 winners Wayne Glogoski and Alan Telford.
Fourth: Elaine McClintock and Bart Robertson.
Fifth Chris Taylor and Murray Matheson.
The AM Prize went to David Lloyd and Murray Radojkovich.
The PM Prize to Jan Gledhill and Gordon Jenkins.
Thanks to Leon, John & Jan, Alan T, Louise, Gordon, Larry and Tony P for setting up the greens.
