Eighteen players entered the SKINTEL sponsored Jackpot Pairs, so, six pairs teams and two triples teams. It was very nice to play on the grass, although most players struggled with the heavy green and cross breeze. Interestingly, there was a noticeable improvement in the quality of the bowls between the first and third games, as the green got less sticky and the players got to grips with the conditions.

Muy Chhour continued her fine form from the weekend, teaming with Graham Ward, to win the prize for the highest plus differential – an impressive plus 25. The team of Phyl Humphries, Gerd Hutchison and David Tripp took out the prize for the highest minus differential by an equally impressive score, but at the other end of the scale.

The game differential (3) was not struck so that jackpots for next time. Pat Smith won the first ball out in the raffle so had a chance to win $300 in the joker jackpot, but didn’t find the Joker, so that jackpots for next time too.

Lucky card number was won by Bruce Aley and Pat Smith.

Thanks to Brendon, our new green keeper, for allowing us to play on the grass, mowing and rolling it before play, and giving me the choice of the greens we played on and the direction of play.
