An almost full field of 30 teams for a day of three bowl pairs. The weather forecast was for showers in the morning and increasing wind in the afternoon, which proved to be true. A brief stop in each of the morning games to let showers pass, and then the northeast wind made the last game a challenge, bowling with the wind one way and into it the other.

Most unusually, there were six four winners (three on each green) but only five prizes. The unlucky team was Jan Gledhill and Gordon Jenkins, who were even more unlucky to miss out on a daily prize and the lucky dips.

First, with 4 wins and 31 ends was Anne and Graham Doreen.
Second, with 4 wins, 29 ends and a massive 72 points were David Payne and Shaun Goldsbury.
Third, with 4 wins, 29 ends and 46 points was Brian Nolan and David Lloyd.
Fourth, with 4 wins and 28 ends were Bevan Smith and Ian Hardie.
Fifth, with 4 wins and 27 ends were Peter Orgias and Allan Langley.
The morning prize went to Garry Banks and Jamie Chen, and the afternoon prize to Phil Chisholm and Theresa Rogers.
There were two lucky dips, which went to Kevin Robertson and Tony James, and Flora MacDonald and Garth Partridge.

Thanks to all who helped with the many jobs that need to be done to make the day successful and enjoyable, with a particular mention to George Durbridge and Ralph Cullen who had unlucky card number 26 and ended up on kitchen duty.
