Last weekend was the Bowls North Harbour Centre 1-5 singles Champ of Champs for Men and Women.

We had Rosemary Nicol representing Mairangi Bay in the women’s event.  Unfortunately Graeme McGregor was away overseas.

Rosemary played on the fast Warkworth carpet green.  In the first round she played the local Warkworth champion, Wendy Turner.  Rosemary bowled really well and adapted to the speed of the green, winning 21-17 .

Next game was a quarter final, she drew Judy Fisher, from Mahurangi East.  Rosemary felt she did not bowl as well as she did in the first round, it was a close game with Judy coming out the winner 19-16 with time up on the clock.

Well done Rosemary, so close to a semi-final game.
