This weekend sees the third week of the Bowls North Harbour Centre Champ of Champ events.

This weekend it is the men and women pairs.

We have Gaye Horne and Joy Watkinson  representing Mairangi Bay in the women’s event.

In the men we have Wayne Glogoski and Barry McCrystal representing Mairangi Bay.

The men play at Belmont Park on Saturday with finals at Hobsonville on Sunday.

The women play at Hobsonville on both days.

Round 1 has only one game for the men starting at 9.00am. The round of 16 will start sometime close to 11.00/11.15am with the quarter finals to follow.

Semi- final and final will be played on Sunday, starting at 10.00am at Hobsonville.

Wayne and Barry have the drawn the local Belmont team of, Ronald Monkley and Brian Tout first up.

The women start their first round at 9.00am.

Gaye and Joy have drawn Millie Nathan and Lauranne Croot from Birkenhead in the first round, this will be an exciting challenge for the Mairangi Bayer’s.

The next round will be the quarter finals with the semi and final on Sunday.

Good bowling to both our teams and Supporters will be muchly appreciated.
