Mangawhai Junior Classic.

We had one team from Mairangi Bay , including a ring in, playing in the Mangawhai 1-5 Classic tournament on Friday 27th December.

The day after Boxing Day it was blowing like 40,000 whatnots, even some mats took to the air.  Our team of Jane Mackay, Jodie Cottier, Graeme Storey, and Stacey M (ring in for the day) played 2 games of 4s. We won both.  Graeme skipped, Jodie was lead and Stacey and Jane filled the rest.

The triples and singles didn’t go so well, Graeme stepped up to the big task of our singles rep and narrowly lost to a tough opponent.  The triples are best not remembered.  The two pairs games went 50:50.  All in all 3 games out of 6 and we enjoyed playing teams that came from clubs we don’t often meet, one team had left at 5.00 am to travel south.
