It’s a busy weekend coming up with the ANZAC Day tournament on Friday afternoon, the Haggle on Saturday afternoon and several Mairangi Bay players in Action in Junior and Champ of Champs events.
The Grove Orewa 1-5 year any combination pairs will be played at Belmont and Omaha.
We have two teams entered Julie Chhour and Jodie Cottier who are playing at Belmont, also Barry Baillie and Graeme McGregor who will be playing at Omaha.
There are 30 teams entered and they will play four games of section play.
The top two teams in each of the four sections will go onto knockout finals on Sunday, to be played at Belmont.
Play on Saturday starts at 8.30am at both venues and at 9.00am on Sunday at Belmont.
Good bowling to both teams on the weekend.
Also being held this weekend is the Champ of Champ singles for both men and women.
This is a knockout competition being played at Hobsonville; lose your match and you are out.
The men start at 8.30am on Saturday with two games played to eliminate the bye, the second round will start around 11.00am.
Leon Wech will play Gerald van Tilborg from Northcote in the second round.
The women start at 9.30am on Saturday with all but one player starting at that time.
Theresa Rogers will play Anne Osborn from Northcote in that first round.
Good bowling to our singles championship winners.
Any supporters for both events will be most welcomed.
