Wednesday April 12 saw the Final of the Ladies’ Champ Singles played out between Colleen Rice and Theresa Rogers. This was a close contest with both players neck and neck to 12 all when Colleen began to pull away, reaching 20 – 12 . But that final point was not easy to come by. Theresa won the next end by 4 and was holding 3 shots on the next end which would have made it 20 all. Until Colleen’s last bowl came in and caused a very close measure for shot with Colleen just taking the shot and the title, winning 21 -16.  Just in time as the rain that had been threatening arrived.

Both bowlers played some high class bowls which were applauded by the small group of spectators. Congratulations to both players.
