What makes for an even more fun day at bowls is when you walk away with a prize. And we are extremely grateful to Jo Mimmack, James Dixon and Harcourts Cooper & Co for their generous sponsorship of our FUN bowls day, as well as many other events held at our club. Your support is much appreciated and our members will always consider asking your your help when they are looking into the residential property market. We are extremely fortunate to have their experience and their knowledge locally at the Harcourt Cooper & Co Mairangi Bay branch, managed by Robyn Coles. Contact them when you are interested in knowing what is happening in the property market and the very best way to maximise your sale and to hear about new hot listings.

The bowls were held in very pleasant conditions and by game three, most people had established a reasonable hold of the rules. Many thanks to Sandra Coombe and her helpers for putting together the format that saw us draw for partners, rinks and positions in each round. Behind the mixed teams there were also hidden pre-determined teams and these team placings determined the order of the visit to the prize table.
In first place was the team of Barbara Friedlos, Colleen Rice and Rick Dixon. The were the only team that accumulated 10 wins.
2nd – 9W, 145P – John Miles and Gerd Hutcheson
3rd – 9W, 139P – Ian Coombe, Pam O’Connor and Ron Rennie
4th – 8W, 143P – Leon Wech, Tony Trent and Marlyn Trent
The format for the day meant that there are many ways to become winners and one of those it to be at the tail of the results. Congratulations to Bruce Aley, Ian Baxter and Janne Beale for taking home the turkey.
Thanks again to Jo, to James and to Martin Cooper – Harcourts Cooper & Co. It certainly was a fun day made even better by your generosity and support.
