First off, a couple of THANK YOU’s. Thanks you to all the players for your understanding and for putting up with any inconvenience that you may have experienced on Saturday. Thank you to Russell for organising the Haggle and thank you to the two Rick’s for managing the private function for around 90 people, which ran from 11:00am through until after 6:00 pm. It was great to see families enjoying our club facilities and may even attract some new players to our club. Also thanks to Mike Wilkinson for putting out the boards and to those who did the quick change from the Mayfair Green to Knightsbridge, as instructed by Hamish.
Private hire of the club facilities has become a major source of income that assists in meeting the running cost and helps keep the subscriptions at there current level. While from time to time these functions may cause of members some inconvenience, they are not only essential for the financial management of the club but also help us demonstrate that the club is an important public and community facility.
If you played in the Haggle on Saturday, thank you. Did you enjoy the singing of Wayne Anderson from South Auckland while he belted out the oldies????
The weather, once again, played it’s part with a beautiful sunny afternoon and a slight breeze: conditions which suited our winning team of Muy Chhour and Margaret O’Carroll who had 3 Wins, 15 Ends and 29 Points.
