“Wednesday December 11th was finals night for the pre Xmas round of Social Business House Bowls.
After 5 weeks of round robin competition played in 2 divisions the 4 top teams in each division played off for the divisional trophy, whilst the remainder played in a divisional plate event.
Pictured with the Division 1 trophy are the Jack Reachers, who triumphed in over the Ball Handlers in a closely fought final whilst the Crackerjacks prevailed over the Bowl Movements by 1 shot to take 3rd place.
Winners of the Division 1 Plate were WTS whilst the Sunset Slingers managed 2nd place with the 3rd place going to Happy Days.
In Division 2 Bowling Besties narrowly beat Greenwich Gardeners for the new Division 2 trophy, whilst the Jokers managed a closely fought win over Bowlers Can Do Miracles for 3rd place. Bowling Besties are pictured with their trophy.
The Division 2 plate produced some surprises with the Calculators producing a strong showing to take 1st place whilst 2nd went to the Lawn Lushes followed by You can’t Coach That in 3rd.
We were very fortunate to complete both games with only minor drizzle in the second game, as within an hour of finishing Mayfair Green was flooded and unplayable.
It was a very successful series with the 34 teams all competing in good spirits and have loads of fun.
The next round which is already fully subscribed with a waiting list starting February 5th 2025.”
