The wet weather continued for the final round of Bowls North Harbour Interclub pennants.

There was some light rain during the opening round but that settled down for the next round.

Division 1 was played at Manly.
The Mairangi Bay Sharks had two rounds to play, they were up against the second-placed team Takapuna and the third-placed team Riverhead.
The team recorded excellent wins, 8-2, against both.
Takapuna needed a win to have any chance of beating leaders Birkenhead.
With those strong wins, Mairangi Bay zoomed into third place overall, behind winners Birkenhead and runner-up Takapuna.

It was a great recovery after a slow start on day one.

Division 2.
The Mairangi Bay Stingrays played at Takapuna.
They too had a top day with wins against Beachhaven 8-2 and Mahurangi 6-2 and they also stormed into third place.
Orewa, who did not enter a team in division one, won this section from Birkenhead and then the fast-finishing Stingrays.

Pennants is an excellent concept, and very popular in Australia, but its current position in the calendar makes it difficult with the weather conditions and people away.
