What a great weekend on the greens for Mairangi Bay. The Grove Orewa, Bowls North Harbour Women’s Pairs and Men’s Singles competition were played over the weekend. Section play at 5 locations and the finals day at Browns Bay on Sunday 10th December 2023.
Making it through section play to the post section were Hanaan and Glenda, Theresa and Irene, Elaine and Kerin, all qualified in the Woman’s Pairs with Elaine and Kerin going on to beat Takapuna in the final and become Bowls North Harbour Champions. This was Kerin’s 10th title, qualifying her for her gold bar and Elaine’s 19th centre title.
In the Men’s Singles, Michael Thomas and David Payne both qualified, with David going on to beat Colin Rogan to become the Grove Orewa Bowls North Harbour Men’s Singles Champion for the second year in a row.
