Despite getting off to a rather damp start 42 club members participated in Jo & James Fun Day on Tuesday February 27. The tournament was open to all classes of membership and it was good to see some of our newer members joining in.                                                                                                                        Teams, rinks & positions were drawn out of a hat (well, an icecream container) at the start of each game, with players keeping their own scores.    At the end of the day actual teams & positions within them were revealed & the individual scores were added to give the winning team which was team B Elaine, Colleen & Jeanette.

There were prizes for everyone and people were able to choose their own prize. Lots of drink bottles, lunch bags, chocolates, scented candles, mystery cash envelopes and much more were studied as people deliberated over their choice.

It was good to have James Dixon on hand throughout the day & he presented cash prizes to Gerd, John Miles & Graeme McGregor who had the first toucher in each game.

The Coffee & Cone van was in attendance 11.30 to 2.00 and, as usual was well patronised. They make good coffee! Thank you James & Jo.

Our next Social/Fun Day tournament will be St Patrick’s Day on Sunday March 17th . It’s a 1.30 start, mufti, open to all members, including Limited, Associate & Business House Plus. There will be a Chinese buffet meal to follow. Partners are most welcome to join us for the meal.
