This weekend saw eight teams enter in the Club Mens Championship Fours. Four teams were eliminated in section play on Saturday with the final four playing the semi-finals and final on Sunday.

In the semi-finals Team Radojkovich was beaten in a close game by team Orgias 15-12 while the other semi-final was more clear cut with an 18-8 win to Team Cain over Team Glogoski.

So to the final where Peter Orgias’s team shot to a deceive lead 19-3 in the 10th end. It looked to onlookers like it was all over bar the shouting but the team led by Larry Cain made a  sudden and dramatic comeback winning 3 ends in a row by 4, 5 & 1 point to bring it back to 19-13 with just two ends to play.

With the pressure on to find a big score, Larry’s team took risks with multiple drives and running shots but to no avail, and in a bizarre twist ended up with all their bowls on the bank giving Peter Orgias’s team 6 points and the match 25-13 in the 14th end.

Congratulations to Peter Orgias, Kevin Robertson, Leon Wech and Alan Langley for their second title in a row.

Congratulations also to Larry Cain, Ron Horne, Tony James and Alan Telford for beating some tough competition to reach the final .
