It was all happening at Mairangi Bay Bowling club this Saturday, with the Women’s Championship Triples and the Men’s Championship Pairs being played on the natural green, and a small, enthusiastic field contesting the prestigious weekly Saturday pm Haggle.  Conditions were ideal for bowling and rather warm up on the Harcourts Community Carpet Green.

The winners of the Haggle was the team of Mick Taylor and Ian McGovern with 2.5 wins 12 ends and 24 points.

Second place went to Graham Ward and Jane Mackay with 2 wins 11 ends and 19 points.
Third were Russell Parkinson and Ralph Cullen with 1 win and 2 draws.

Congratulations to the winners and well bowled to all, especially our new member Jane Mackay and Julie Chhour, who both showed excellent promise.  Nice to have you along and to see you taking part in our events.
