Our more senior (in bowling years) members may well remember George Lock who was a member of our club for some years. George left to go & live in Australia & he was for many years  a prominent member of  the team of  Sunshine Coast bowlers who come to Mairangi before heading to Taranaki in January of each year.

For many years George ran the Sunshine Coast Winter Carnival & was always delighted to welcome bowlers from North Harbour & especially Mairangi Bay.

George had been in failing health for a few years & sadly passed away on Monday May 3
