With all the centre bowls events that are held around this time of year it was encouraging to see a good size field for the Saturday pm Haggle.  Thanks to Gayle Wilkinson for organising the draw that saw most players playing a game of triples and two games of pairs.  It’s quite a job to manage the draw when there is a number of entries that does not divide by four.

The Haggle prizes were awarded to individuals rather than to teams as the teams make up changed with each round, therefore there were 8 prizes.

The winner on the day was Ron Horne with 3 wins, 13 ends and 29 points.

Second: Russell Parkinson with 2 wins, 13 ends and 29 points
Third: Caryl Miles with 2 wins, 13 ends and 24 points
Fourth: John Smith with 2 wins, 12 ends and 25 points
Fifth: Steve McGregor with 2 wins 12 ends and 20 points (13 against)
Sixth: Graham Ward with 2 wins, 12 ends and 20 points (15 against)
Seventh: David Tripp with 2 wins, 12 ends and 20 points (18 against)
Eighth: Gayle Wilkinson with 2 wins 11 ends and 20 points

The sheet is up for the next Haggle on Saturday 22nd Feb.  Start time is 1:00pm and dress is mufti.  All members are welcome to join in this fun and yet competitive afternoon of bowls.
