We were very lucky to get two of the final 3 rounds of the Silverfin5 competition played on Tuesday March 18 before the rain came & we called it off as the greens had become quite slick.
Fortunately Alex Brown from Silverfin Capital was able to make it to our earlier than scheduled Prize Giving and she reassured us that Silverfin were very happy to continue with their sponsorship into next season, for which we are very grateful.
Winner on the day with 4 wins and 40 points was Peter Orgias team. In second place with 4 wins & 38 points was Glenda Rountree’s team. Larry Cain’s team had 4 wins & 36 points to give them 3rd place & coming in 4th also with 4 wins but 34 points was Jan Harrison’s team. My apologies for not naming the team members but so many teams had fill ins that I didn’t get everyone’s name.
The Overall winners of the competition with 78 accumulated points was Jan Harrisson’s team. In second place was Peter Orgias team with 64 points and coming in 3rd with 57 points was Elaine McClintock’s team.
Thank you to all those teams who have participated throughout the season. Finding 5 people available to play each month has been something of a challenge at times but hopefully you will all return next season.
