Twenty four teams enjoyed a day of three bowl pairs. Quite a pleasant day weather wise, starting off in light drizzle, which soon cleaned to cloudy, with minimal, variable breeze throughout the day, warmer and more humid in the afternoon.
Three and a half wins or better were needed to be in the top places, and, interestingly, three of the four teams here played on Mayfair.
Before the prize giving Bruce Aley introduced and thanked Triton Hearing for their sponsorship, who then presented the prizes.
First, with four wins and 35 ends was David Payne  and Jodie Cottier.
Second was Tony James and Steve McGregor with four wins and 32 ends.
Third, with three wins and a draw and 28 ends, was Ian Coombe and Bruce Aley.
Fourth, closely behind was Elaine McClintock and Kerrin Roberts with three wins and a draw, and 27 ends.
There were five contenders for the morning prize, which went to Sheryl Wellington and Colleen Rice with two wins and 18 ends.
There were three contenders for the afternoon prize, two with 15 ends, with the money going to Ralph Cullen and Graham Ward with 30 points for.
Lucky dip went to Norm Scott-Morrison and Ray Anderson.
As usual, thanks to all those who helped to make the day successful and enjoyable.
A plea – please check your entry status. One team contacted me to withdraw their entry, but weren’t entered, another team arrived that wasn’t entered but was accepted to avoid a bye, and another unentered person arrived expecting to play triples.
When you enter you receive a confirmation email, and then a reminder of your entry the day before the tournament and another on the day of the tournament.
