The Consistency singles was played over the weekend. This is a mixed tournament, each player has four bowls and the first player to reach 100 points is the winner. Ten points are allocated on each end, four points for the closest bowl, three points for the second closest, two points for the third closest and one point for the fourth closest.
We had 22 entries but had four late withdrawals, some with covid, so a field of 18 went to the post. Fortunately, the weather was very good for both days. They played on Knightsbridge green, it was running around 16secs and had a few early games on Mayfair.
The top eight players qualified for finals.
The semi-finals were between Peter Orgias and Judi Farkash and also Theresa Rogers and David Payne.
Peter and David continued their good form to win those games and qualify for the final.
In a close game Peter Orgias prevailed to take the trophy.
A BIG THANK YOU to all the people who help with the gear and marking and particularly to Elaine McClintock for running the tournament and to Sheryl Wellington and Gerd for organizing the draw.
