Nearly all 3 rounds got played before the greens became swimming pools. One end was played on the carpet to finish the day.
We got 4 qualifiers for Sunday’s finals:
Flora and Judi 10-21
Julie and Muy 12-21
The final between Judi and Muy was a real nail biter, with Judi taking an early lead. But Muy, continuing playing excellent bowls both days, managed to catch up, winning with 21-18. Well done!
Worth mentioning also, playing really well, were both Helen Bartley and Jane Mackay, in their first singles competition.
