The Bowls North Harbour Mixed 2x4x2 pairs was held over the weekend at several venues.
At Takapuna:
Section 1: Phill Chisholm and Colleen had a great day winning all three games to top their section.
Section 2: Gaye Horne playing with Matt Higginson from Manly had two wins but missed out on the top spot by differential.
At Manly:
Section 2: Elaine McClintock playing with Bart Robinson from Helensville had three good wins to top their section.
Section 6: Gerry Strydom and Sheryl Wellington had a win, a draw and a loss to finish second in their section.
At Helensville:
Section 8: Theresa Rogers playing with Kevin Rainsford from Manly had two wins and just finished second in their section.
Section 9: Judi Farkash playing with Lindsay Gilmore from Browns Bay had two wins and also just missed out on the top spot on differential.
Section 10: David Payne and Julie Chhour had a good day with two wins and a draw to top their section.
At Sunnybrae:
Section 13: Wayne Glogoski playing with Irene Donaldson from Manly had one draw on the day.
Sunday was finals day, held at Takapuna.
In the first round Phill Chisholm and Colleen Rice had a bye.
Elaine McClintock and Bart Robertson lost in a close game to Walter Howden and Connie Mathieson 13-11.
David Payne and Julie Chhour continued their form with a 13-10 win over Glenn Collard and Kaylen McNabb from Manly.
Quarter finals.
Phill Chisholm and Colleen Rice had a strong win over a composite team of David Bartlett and Penny Wakelin 16-7.
David Payne and Julie Chhour lost to Carlson Bennett and Jenni Hart from Helensville 13-9. The Helensville team went on to win the final.
Semi Finals.
Phill Chisholm and Colleen Rice lost to Chris Taylor and Jan Calcott from Takapuna 10-13 in a close game.
Carlson Bennett and Jenni Hart beat a Riverhead team of Jeanine Brown and Steve Cox in a tense game 9-8.
The final was won by Carlson Bennett and Jenni Hart over Chris Taylor and Jan Calcott 10-8.
Well done to David, Julie and Elaine for making the finals and particularly to Phil and Colleen for making the semi-final.
