This Friday is the final day of qualifying in the Bowls North Harbour Men’s and Women’s Winter cup bonus fours.

 All teams have two games to play on Friday, starting at 9.30am

At Browns Bay we have four women’s teams competing in two sections.
Mairangi Bay has the leading team in section 1 and the top two teams in section 2.
The top two teams in each section qualify for finals the following week.
There is good chance we could get three teams in the finals if results go their way.

Go well teams.

At Hobsonville we have two men’s teams competing with one team sitting second in section 1 and the other team leading section 2.
Again a good chance to two teams, depending on results.

Go well teams.

At Warkworth we also have two men’s competing in section 3 and 4.
After not so good results last Friday they are looking unlikely qualifiers for finals.

Good bowling to both teams, look at causing a couple of upsets.

Sunday is the first of the 1-8 year Winter fours.
The Latimer Cup is first up and is at Browns Bay.

We have four teams entered.
Gaye Horne, Joy Watkinson, Barry Baillie and Julie Chhour.
Roger Potter, Bill Lowe, Pat Smith and Graeme McGregor.
Glyn Taylor, Flora Macdonald, Judi Farkash and Rosemary Nicol
Stuart Mackay, Jane Mackay, Annie McGrath and Ralph Cullen.

Good bowling to you all, these are always enjoyable tournaments.There are three tournaments that run over the Winter and they are a great chance for all of our 1 to 8 year bowlers to play at other clubs, to compete in competions and to meet others who are new to bowls.

Mairangi Bay has a great tradition in these 1-8 events.
