It’s not all about you!!!

After play had finished on a Thursday recently, there was some discussion over whether we should play 2 bowl triples or 3 bowl triples on our Thursday winter tournaments.

There are opposing views on this subject and while some like 3 bowls, others prefer 2 bowls. It should be noted that for competition play, Bowls North Harbour, Bowls New Zealand and Bowls Austalia play 2 bowl triples, 18 ends.

Currently, at MBBC, it has been left to the convenor of the day to select which format would apply,  however to satisfy all members,  it has been decided to change this and alternate the options.

Commencing 4 July we will be playing 3 bowls and the following week 2 bowls and then back to 3 bowls and so on.
