This coming weekend the 1-5 Grove Orewa Men and Women centre singles will be held.

We have two players entered, Barry Baillie and Jodie Cottier (in her first year of bowls).

The men are playing at Mairangi Bay, Orewa, Waimauku and Helensville. The finals will be at Helensville on Sunday.

Barry is playing at Helensville on Saturday and hopefully on Sunday as well.

60 players are entered which is a great turn-out with 16 players entered from Hobsonville.

The winner of each of the fifteen sections will go on to post-section on Sunday.

Saturday games will start at 9.00am with Sunday games starting at 8.30am.

The women are all playing at Browns Bay on Saturday with post-section finals at Helensville on Sunday.

Only 16 players have entered, which is very disappointing. There will be 4 sections and the top two in each section will go through to finals on Sunday.

Start time at Browns Bay on Saturday is 9.00am and around 10.30ish on Sunday.

They require the men’s round of sixteen to be finished before they will be able to start.

We wish both Barry and Jodie all the best for the weekend.

They are up against some very strong opposition but both are bowling very well at present.

Supporters will be most welcome at both Browns Bay and Helensville.

The weather forecast is looking very good , so take a  nice drive and support our 1-5 bowlers.
